[Rossiu carefully raises his head so he can speak more clearly, but he keeps it bowed and his eyes downcast. He wouldn't dare just make eye contact with a god.]

Forgive me, but coming here so suddenly has overwhelmed me. I have questions, and I hope I have not overstepped myself to approach you with them.

[He takes a deep breath. He's never really talked to a real god before (the empty giant robot no longer counts), and to be frank, part of him had doubted that there were gods at all when he came to Asgard. But he can now light fires without flint and metal, and he's seen people who can manipulate things no mortal was meant to. What other explanation is there?]

Your majesty, I came here while in the middle of a battle that could decide the fate of my species. I would like to know how it ended.

And... [Here, he finds himself flushing. It seems so small to everyone else, especially within Odin House itself, full as it is of bookworms, but it's been niggling him ever since he accidentally opened Loki's guide and understood every word he wrote.] How... and why did I come here knowing how to read? I could not before. I don't mean to question any gift the gods gave me, but it confuses me.

[ He gives a moment of silence before responding, less to find answers for simple, easy questions ( at least not entirely useless ones, though they serve little benefit to anyone but Rossiu himself ) and more to give the boy consideration. Wisdom and knowledge are the All-Father's domain, and so it is that Odin faces such curiosities with his own in turn. ]

I can't speak for what will happen in your lifetime. It's yours to live, and time will wait for you to return to it. [ A beat. ] That isn't to say you won't find out soon enough, though. Time might wait, but we tinker every now and again.

[ If Rossiu had been here for the apples, he might've seen it for himself; Odin isn't fond of repeating old experiments when chances are they'll produce the same results, but the possibility is always there. ]
